Autumn Term 2026 - Me, My People, My Place

Concept - Cynefin

This term, we are exploring the concept of Cynefin – where we belong. We will learn all about ourselves, our families and the people and places in our local community. We’ll celebrate what makes us special and begin to explore our Welsh identity and sense of belonging through stories, play, art and lots of hands-on learning.

Class Dojo

We will be uploading photographs and updates about our weekly learning on the Class Dojo story, so please keep an eye out! Please remember that all updates and termly reports will be shared through Dojo, so make sure you are logged in and have notifications enabled.

When the children are not completing a focus task with an adult, they have access to the continuous and enhanced provision. This provision is both indoors and outdoors, and we have a free flow policy to allow the children to explore and learn. These areas are carefully planned and set up to allow the children to develop communication, independence, problem-solving and literacy and numeracy skills. Adults in these areas observe and work closely with the children, meaning that they can support the children to lead with their own interests. Our staff carefully question the children through their play to support, enhance and revisit learning. During this time, staff make careful observations so we can best support the learning of your child.

See the attached homework sheets below for phonics and reading. They will also be sent home weekly aligning with the sounds being learnt in class that week.
