Class 2

Welcome to Class 2!

Summer Term 2024- Healthy Me!

Concept- Health and Fitness

The final summer term is here! What a fantastic year so far we have all had. This term our topic is Healthy Me!

We will be exploring the concept of health and fitness and learn about leading a healthy lifestyle, inspired by this year's Olympics. We will explore healthy eating and will explore where food comes from. We will be learning about farming and the jobs on farms. We will also be planting and growing our own fruit and vegetables. Please let us know if you have 'green fingers' and would like to help with this. We will also be exploring how to keep fit, and will be having our own 'mini' Olympics.

We will continue to use the grid method for homework for the Summer Term. There is a grid with some activities linked to our topic. These can be completed as and when you choose throughout the term. Please bring in completed tasks or you can upload to the children's Seesaw accounts. These activities are supposed to be a fun and interactive way to approach learning and support the tasks we are doing in school. I look forward to your creations and remember be as creative as you like!

Also don't forget our Creative Afternoons will continue through the Summer Term. See Facebook for the dates.

Spring Term 2024- Muck, Mess and Mixture!

Concept- Colour and Expression

The children have completely settled in and are accessing the provision. Please keep an eye out for when we will open the door for parent/ carer afternoons.

We will be exploring the concept of colour and finding out how to mix different colours. We will be  expressing ourselves through different media and art work. We will be visiting our community and exploring Llanhari. Throughout our topic we will be working towards our final showcase of our Llanhari Carnival.

We are trying a different approach to homework for the Spring Term.
